21k Finnegans Wake

riverrun, past Eve and Adam’s, from swerve of shore to bend of bay, brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.

James Joyce. Finnegans Wake (p. 3)

This is the last of four half marathon routes that I devised and ran starting on Bloomsday 2014.

The run starts at the Adam and Eve’s in the city centre and runs out the swerve of shore and bend of bay, before going over Howth Head. Like the book, it’s quite a challenge, but with some research, preparation, and in my case a knee operation, it can be done.

You can see a detailed description in the writing section here.

You can look at the 21k route of Finnegans Wake, on Map My Run, here .

You can zoom into the map to see more details and download a GPX or KML file of the route from Map My Run.
