I am an architect living in Dublin. When I graduated as an architect in 1986 I thought cities changed quickly. As I grew older I realised that this was not always the case. Dublin is a layered city, elements build on elements over time.
This blog combines my interests in Dublin, the city where I was born and choose to live in, running, reading and ruminating.
I am Head of Design at the Dublin School of Creative Arts in the Dublin Institute of Technology based in Grangegorman, formerly Dottyville in Ulysses. I live in Gordon Street, Ringsend. Both are ideally positioned to allow me to run around the parts of Dublin that Joyce lived in and wrote about.
